I’ve been using Drigg to power Pixojo since the beginning, but I’m not happy with it. It’s not intuitive to administrator, theming is difficult and modules are a pain. So, I’m considering switching to WordPress.

Maybe I just need to learn more about Drigg/Drupal it but I usually pick up things fast. Drigg is just not working for me and don’t get me started on Pligg. That was a separate nightmare.

Over the next few months we’ll see what happens. It’ll be starting over from scratch and all the user accounts will be gone, but the quality of the site is important. I feel I can do so much more with WordPress and it’ll be better for the users too.

However, WordPress doesn’t have a Digg like module so I’ll have to do some creative thinking. With all my WordPress knowledge, I know it can be done.

I really think Pixojo could be much better and what we currently have isn’t cutting it for me. I don’t have a definitive ‘switch’ date, but sooner or later, Pixojo will will be re-born.

The software that runs Pixojo has been updated.  Took longer than expected, and ran into a few hurdles, but I think it’s all up and running pretty darn well.
